We Made Room:

We Made Room bridges the gap between aspiring to work in film production and building a sustainable career in the industry.

We create pathways for Black women, especially second-career professionals, through community, mentorship, professional development, and meaningful industry connections.

Through year-round experiences and our annual summit, we create spaces where conversations lead to connections, connections create opportunities, and careers move forward.

Permission isn't given. It's created.

The Room Is Open.

We Made Room:

We Made Room bridges the gap between aspiring to work in film production and building a sustainable career in the industry.

Created for Black women, especially second-career professionals, We Made Room was founded on the belief that talent, experience, and potential should never be limited by when someone begins their journey.

We create pathways into film production through community, professional development, mentorship, industry connections, and future workforce initiatives designed to increase access, strengthen careers, and expand opportunities.

Through year-round programming and our annual summit, members build meaningful relationships, exchange knowledge, explore career pathways, and gain access to experiences that support long-term growth in the industry.

As We Made Room continues to grow, our vision includes expanded training opportunities, grant funding, mentorship, and strategic partnerships that help more Black women successfully enter, navigate, and sustain careers in film production.

More than a program, We Made Room is a community rooted in the belief that when space does not exist, we have the power to create it—for ourselves, for one another, and for the women who will follow.

The Room Is Open.
