We Made Room:
We Made Room bridges the gap between aspiring to work in film production and building a sustainable career in the industry.
We create pathways for Black women, especially second-career professionals, through community, mentorship, professional development, and meaningful industry connections.
Through year-round experiences and our annual summit, we create spaces where conversations lead to connections, connections create opportunities, and careers move forward.
Permission isn't given. It's created.
The Room Is Open.
We Made Room:
We Made Room was created for Black women who are building careers in film production—especially those stepping into the industry after establishing themselves in another profession.
We understand that changing careers can feel like starting over, but the experience, leadership, and perspective gained along the way are valuable assets on set and throughout the industry.
We Made Room is a place to build genuine relationships with women who understand the journey, exchange insights, discover opportunities, and grow alongside a community committed to seeing one another succeed.
Whether you're attending conversations with industry professionals, expanding your network, connecting with collaborators, or finding your next opportunity, We Made Room exists to make meaningful connections that extend beyond a single event.
As the community grows, so will the opportunities to connect, collaborate, and create together—because lasting careers are built through relationships as much as talent.
We believe there is room for every woman willing to step into this industry—and when there isn't, we make room.
The Room Is Open.
